How to Apply Essential Oils to Feet: 4 Effective Methods

Add 5 drops of rosemary essence, the same amount of peppermint, and 10 drops of tea tree. Stir, close the jar tightly, and leave for 24 hours. Shake the jar periodically so that the contents are evenly absorbed. The resulting powder is applied to clean feet before putting on socks.

NB: if there are open sores or non-healed wounds on your skin, you can’t use this remedy. Use of this powder is also undesirable if you walk barefoot or wear open sandals.

Take care of dry, cracked heels

Dry and cracked skin on the heels is unattractive and causes a lot of pain and discomfort. It’s impossible to feel like a queen when you have to hobble and step carefully instead of walking with your head held high. Daily care with essential oils can help solve the problem quickly.

To treat problematic feet, they often use time-tested means like castor oil. Apply it to your heels, massaging it in gently, then put on cotton socks. The condition of your skin will improve significantly overnight. But when the problem is too severe, this option might not help. In this case, you’ll need a special oil blend.

To make it, you’ll need:

  1. 30 ml of organic castor oil.
  2. 20 ml of oil enriched with fatty omega-acids: blackcurrant seed, primrose, hemp, or borage.
  3.  50 drops of myrrh.

Mix all ingredients well and then pour them into a dark glass bottle. Apply it liberally to your heels and soles before going to bed and after taking a shower. Then put on cotton socks.

Essential oil foot soaks

Let’s talk more about the foot baths that can have a truly unique effect on the condition of the feet and the body as a whole. It can be tonic, relaxing, or therapeutic, depending on the essence you use.

Dissolve sea salt (3 tablespoons) in organic solubilizer (1 tablespoon, add 2 drops chamomile essential oil and 3 drops lavender, and then add the mixture to warm water. You’ll feel your fatigue removed as if by magic. Nervous tension will also disappear and you’ll feel maximum relaxation.

To tone your feet up, do the same, but add 5 drops of each oil. Make sure your foot bath water isn’t too hot or too cold. Soak your feet for 15-20 minutes. After it, apply your favorite nourishing cream. You can add any of the above-mentioned oils to the cream if you want to.

Using essential oils against itching, callusing, or fungi infection
